Innovate the future of the agri-food system – become a change agent
The BioSustainability Design Fellowship is a 10-month, full-time programme that brings experienced professionals together to design, test, and launch solutions for a more sustainable agri-food system.
The global food system is under growing pressure, facing urgent sustainability challenges that demand innovative approaches and transformative methodologies. To address these key challenges, BSD has been established to cultivate a new generation of change agents equipped to drive systemic change across the agri-food industry.
As a fellow, you are an ambitious professional— e.g. an engineer, a scientist, a business leader, an agronomist, who sees these challenges not as a roadblock, but as a call to action.
You have the drive and the talent to make a difference, yet the path to creating meaningful impact is fragmented and unclear.
You understand that individual efforts are not enough to solve a problem this vast. The most critical challenges in our food system remain unsolved because passionate experts like you lack the focused platform to drive real, collaborative innovation.

Mette Damborg Hansen, Interim Programme Director
This is where the BioSustainability Design Fellowship Programme (BSD) comes in. We are not the heroes of this story — you are. We are the guide created to empower professionals just like you.
Hosted by the Danish Technological Institute and built on a proven innovation methodology, we provide the innovation framework and deep industry access you need to channel your ambition into concrete, scalable solutions. We don’t just teach you; we equip and empower you to lead.
Our 10-month, hands-on programme provides a clear and direct path for you to become a leader of the green transition. Here is your plan for impact:

Graduating from the BSD means you emerge transformed. You are no longer just an expert in your field; you are a systemic innovator with the skills, confidence, and powerful network to lead change, whether by launching your own start-up or driving innovation from within an established organization. You will be part of an elite alumni community shaping a resilient, sustainable, and responsible global food system.
Step into your role as a leader of the green transition.
Are you a company, trade association, cluster organisation, or educational institution in the agri-food value chain?
