Who is Eligible to Become a Host?

As a BSD host, your job is to give the visiting fellows an in-depth look at how your business works and the challenges and opportunities facing your organization now and in the future.

We are looking for organizations across the entire agri‑food value chain, for example:

  • Primary production (farms, cooperatives, grower organizations)
  • Food and ingredient processing companies
  • Retail chains and wholesalers
  • Food service, catering, and public kitchens (e.g. municipalities, regions)
  • Logistics and distribution partners
  • Other organizations handling relevant sidestreams and resources

Key criteria for hosting BSD fellows

  • Clear link to at least one of BSD’s three themes
  • Openness to having fellows on‑site as observers (non‑intrusive shadowing)
  • Willingness to allocate internal contact persons and participate in interviews
  • Interest in sharing feedback and receiving results from the immersion

Confidentiality and IP are handled through formal agreements before the immersion begins.

If you are interested in becoming a host or want to hear more about what it entails, please get in touch.
